The Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel, officially opened in 2022, is a road tunnel that connects Tseung Kwan O with East Kowloon. It has a total length of 3.8 kilometers, of which 2.2 kilometers consist of tunnel sections, all featuring dual two-lane carriageways. This tunnel serves as the second road link to Tseung Kwan O. Alongside the T2 trunk road in the Kai Tak Development Area and the Kowloon Route, it forms Route 6 within the major road network. This route provides a rapid connection between West Kowloon and Tseung Kwan O, helping to alleviate traffic congestion in Central and East Kowloon.
