The Hong Kong Central Library, situated in Causeway Bay, was established in 2001 as the central hub of the Hong Kong Public Library system. It is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and is the largest public library in Hong Kong, providing the most extensive services and the largest collection. The library comprises 12 floors, covering an area of 9,400 square meters, with a total floor area of 33,800 square meters and a collection that exceeds 2,500,000 items.
